After seven years sailing the world aboard a 39ft ketch, Emma Casey swapped the sea for a sewing machine and a leatherwork bench.

Reclaimed sails, otherwise fated to the landfill, have a story to tell. Miles beneath the keel and weather endured are charted in the worn sections, stains, rips and chafe points of the fabric.
